Professor Kathleen Myers has been awarded the CAHI Grant in Support of Research + Creative Activity for her project, entitled Contemporary Colonialities: Mexico and Beyond, that she is conducting in collaboration with Professor Alejandro Mejías-López. Their book project examines how the complex history of colonization and the independence of Mexico have influenced the social, cultural, and political configuration of the country. The book includes groundbreaking aspects regarding the presentation of the geography and chronology of Mexican colonialism.
